On October 27, the Church commemorates Saints Mark, Soterikos, and Valentine, early Christian martyrs from Asia who courageously gave their lives for their faith in Christ around the year 304.

These holy men were arrested by idolaters and endured cruel tortures for refusing to deny their faith. Finally, they were dragged over sharp stones until they died as witnesses to Christ. Later, their holy relics were transferred to the island of Thasos, located between Thrace and the Athonite Peninsula.

In the eastern tradition, their memory is honored on October 24, while other traditions commemorate them on October 27.

🙏 May their faith, endurance, and sacrifice inspire us to remain steadfast in our own spiritual struggles.
