What does authentic Catholic manhood look like—and how can men grow in the responsibility, virtue, and spiritual leadership their families need?
Part 1 of this three-part series examines the foundations of Catholic masculinity: our created nature, the importance of fraternity, the responsibilities of fatherhood, and the relationship between nature and grace.
Beginning with the purpose of a retreat, this opening talk invites men to examine their lives, renew their commitment to what is good, and identify habits that need conversion. It then considers how a man’s understanding of masculinity shapes his actions and influences those entrusted to his care.
The speaker discusses Christian patriarchy, cultural changes affecting family life, and the distinct responsibilities of priests and laymen. Throughout, men are challenged to respond to the circumstances of their own time by pursuing holiness and taking responsibility for their spiritual lives.
