What can Adam’s failure in Eden teach Catholic men about responsibility? How does Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross reveal the meaning of authentic manhood?
Part 2 of this three-part Catholic manhood series moves from creation and original sin to the Annunciation, the wedding at Cana, and Calvary. The talk centers on the call to protect and cultivate what God has entrusted to our care—and the danger of neglecting that responsibility.
The speaker challenges men to examine sins of omission: the good left undone, responsibilities avoided, and opportunities for spiritual leadership neglected. Rather than merely reacting to problems, men are encouraged to develop a positive vision for serving their families and forming those within their influence.
Through a sustained comparison of Adam and Christ, Eve and Mary, this installment presents the speaker’s reflections on Christian patriarchy, obedience, sacrifice, and the restoration of order through redemption.
At its heart is the Cross: Christ gives Himself for those He loves. His example calls men to greater courage, initiative, and sacrificial love.
