Discover the fascinating story of St. Claudia Procula, also known as Procla or Procula, the wife of Pontius Pilate, who played a mysterious yet powerful role in the Passion of Christ.

According to the Gospel of Matthew, she warned her husband, “Have nothing to do with that just man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him.”
Though unnamed in Scripture, ancient Christian tradition and apocryphal texts give her an identity and a legacy of faith.

Learn how this noblewoman went from being the wife of the Roman governor who condemned Christ, to becoming a devout Christian, remembered in both the Eastern Orthodox and Catholic traditions. Some traditions even honor her as a martyr, while others as a saint of peace and conversion.
