Democrats took the House and the Senate. Abortion won in three of the four states where it was on the ballot. And the Catholic vote, which Trump carried in 2024, swung hard the other way. Nick Cavazos of The Traditional Thomist joins Joe McClane for both guest segments to go through what happened, why it happened, and what a faithful Catholic does now.

At 4:14: the results. How Catholics voted and how the young vote moved, with young men swinging from Trump +15 to Democrats +33 in the Fox News Voter Poll. Virginia and Nevada put abortion in their constitutions, Missouri kept its 2024 abortion amendment, and Idaho held the line. Then the issues that drove the vote: cost of living, corruption, and the Iran war.

At 4:30: what happens now. Will Hakeem Jeffries' House impeach Trump a third time? Trump says "I wasn't on the Ballot," and JD Vance says "the reason we lost is the war." Chuck Schumer says the Iran war "must end." Can Democrats actually stop it before January 3?

The day after the vote, the Gospel is Christ telling the crowd to sit down and count the cost (Luke 14:25-33).
