Bishop Barron told a cardinal he'd "resign and get an honest job" if the Church didn't exist to bring people to Christ. Today Cardinal Jean-Paul Vesco answered him — and didn't walk back a word: believers of the three monotheistic religions "have better things to do than to seek to convert one another."

Dr. Anthony Stine (Return to Tradition) joins Joe at 4:30 ET to take the whole week apart: the cardinal who won't convert, the Vatican worship office that calls kneeling for Communion "extremism," and the new Pew report that says there's no clear evidence of a youth revival — even as 41% of 18-to-22-year-olds say they're in church every month.

Also today: the Vatican confirms Pope Leo XIV mailed in a ballot for Tuesday's U.S. midterms from New Lenox, Illinois — the first pope in history to vote in a secular election. And at 4:14, a new Their Catholic Story: "The Man in the Garden."

SCRIPTURE (Douay-Rheims):

• Matthew 28:19-20 — "Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."
• Mark 16:15-16 — "Preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned."
• 1 Corinthians 9:16 — "For woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel."
• Philippians 2:10 — "That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow."
• Luke 14:1-6 — the man with dropsy, healed on the Sabbath.
