Alleluia! Join The CatholicTV Network for the full Daily Catholic Mass celebration on this Tuesday of the Fourth Week of Easter. We gather as a community of faith to celebrate the "mysteries of the Lord’s resurrection," asking for the grace to "merit to receive the joy of our redemption".
In today’s reverent Homily, the celebrant reflects on Jesus as the "Great Physician" and the "healing medicine" found in the Holy Eucharist. Drawing from the expansion of the early Church to the Greeks in Antioch and Jesus’ teaching on the Portico of Solomon, we explore what it means to truly "hear His voice". We are encouraged to recognize that the Eucharist is our "prescription" for joy and strength, enabling us to live our lives with confidence even amidst struggles. This Mass is a powerful invitation to "be not afraid" and to remain faithful to the Lord with "firmness of heart".
The Scriptures highlight the spread of the "New Way" and the security of the Shepherd's hand:
-The First Reading (Acts 11:19-26): Those scattered by the persecution following Stephen's death travel as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch. While some preach only to Jews, others begin to speak to the Greeks, and a "great number" turn to the Lord. Barnabas is sent from Jerusalem and, seeing the grace of God, rejoices and brings Saul to Antioch, where for a whole year they teach a large number of people—marking the place where the disciples were "first called Christians".
-The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 87/Ps 118): A song of Paschal victory: "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad".
-The Holy Gospel (John 10:22-30): During the feast of the Dedication in Jerusalem, Jesus is questioned by those wanting Him to speak plainly about His identity. Jesus declares that His works testify to Him but that some do not believe because they are not among His sheep. He reassures His followers: "My sheep hear my voice; I know them and they follow me," promising that no one can take them out of His hand or the Father's hand, for "The Father and I are one".
May the most holy exchange of this Eucharist bring us help in this present life and ensure for us eternal gladness.

Theological & Liturgical Context
-Season: Tuesday of the Fourth Week of Easter.
-Gospel Focus: The Intimacy of Divine Belonging; Jesus defines the relationship between the Savior and the believer as one of mutual recognition—He knows His sheep, and they hear His voice—establishing that the safety of the believer is rooted in the "oneness" of the Father and the Son.
-Homily Key Message: We are called to recognize Jesus' voice "in many ways through the spoken word" and the sacraments. By depending on Jesus in the Eucharist, we receive the "healing benefits" that allow us to live with joy even in the midst of "struggles and things that come our way".
