The month of March is dedicated to St. Joseph, the foster father of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the protector of the Holy Family.

In this Day 8 meditation, we reflect on St. Joseph as the model of union with Jesus Christ, the ultimate goal of the spiritual life.

Our Lord Himself teaches us:

"I am the vine, you are the branches."

Without Jesus Christ we can do nothing — not even think a good thought or perform a supernatural act pleasing to God. St. Joseph teaches us what it means to live constantly united to Christ.

Joseph lived with Jesus, worked with Jesus, loved Jesus, and adored Him as his God. In this meditation we learn the profound truth of the Christian life:

Nothing without Jesus.
Everything for Jesus.
Everything with Jesus.
Everything in Jesus.

May St. Joseph help us grow in union with Christ and live in the grace of God.
