Is praying to Mary forbidden? Is it idolatry or necromancy? Does it violate the "one mediator" language of the New Testament? If you heard a fellow Christian pray to Mary, would you correct them? A Protestant on X asked that question in good faith, and this episode is the full answer. Former Protestant pastor Kenny Burchard walks through 22 verses showing how the Bible actually talks about healing: Jesus gives his disciples authority to heal every disease (Matthew 10:1), the Book of Acts credits healings to God, to people, and to God working through people with no correction anywhere (Peter's shadow, Paul's handkerchiefs, a whole island coming to one apostle), and James tells the sick to call for the elders (James 5:14-15). Then the harder question: how can Mary hear millions of prayers? The answer runs through 1 Corinthians 12, Revelation 5, and what "partakers of the divine nature" really means.
