For 20 years, "Pastor Kenny" heard these claims about the Catholic Church and repeated them to his congregations without checking them. Catholic apologist Dave Armstrong has heard and debunked them more times than he can count in over 30 years of apologetics. He has ranked the top 10, and after 30 years of debating anti-Catholics, he calls them what they are: lies. Part 1 covers lies #10 through #7. Priests are forced into celibacy because the Church hates marriage (Paul and Jesus say otherwise). Catholics are forbidden to read or interpret the Bible (there were 18 German editions before Luther, and Pius XII ordered daily Bible reading). Catholics must pray to saints instead of God (James 5:16 says why we ask the righteous to pray). And transubstantiation was invented in 1215 (Protestant historian Philip Schaff traces it to the church fathers).
