For years, he risked everything distributing Catholic books during a time when such acts were punishable by death. Out of 12 years of marriage, he spent 9 in prison—yet remained steadfast, charitable, and fearless.

Even at the moment of death, Blessed James forgave his betrayer and encouraged him to die in the Catholic Church. His story is a striking witness to the power of truth, courage, and unwavering faith.
