Our Lady of Champion’s message to Adele Brise calls Catholics to conversion, penance, and teaching children the faith. This homily recounts the 1859 Wisconsin apparition, Adele’s tireless catechetical work, and the shrine’s preservation during the devastating fires of 1871.

Known also as Our Lady of Good Help, this devotion offers a powerful reminder to pray for sinners, approach the sacraments faithfully, and take responsibility for passing on the Catholic faith.

The sermon also considers Fatima, Akita, and other reported private revelations, presenting the preacher’s reflections on chastisement, repentance, and hope in Mary’s Immaculate Heart.

What can parents, godparents, and teachers learn from Adele’s response? Begin with prayer, teach the catechism, and trust Our Lady’s help.
