Byzantine Saints: Martyrs Eudoxios, Agapios, Atticus, and those with them, at Sebaste (3 November)

Published 12 hours ago

The Holy Martyrs Udoo, Agapios, Attacus, Adus, Marinus, Oistius, Carteros, Nicop, Palanos, Styrax, and Tobias were valiant soldiers who lived in the city of Sebaste during the reign of Emperor Licinius (around 315 A.D.). When they were brought before Duke Marcelus and Marcus Agricus, they boldly confessed their unwavering faith in Christ.

Refusing to deny their Savior, they endured intense tortures, remaining steadfast in the face of suffering. Finally, they were cast into the fire and burned alive, offering their lives for the love of God. Through their holy witness, they received the unfading crown of martyrdom.

These glorious martyrs are commemorated on November 3rd (or November 2nd in Greek usage) in the Orthodox Church, reminding us of the courage and faith of those who stood firm for Christ amidst persecution.

🙏 May their prayers strengthen us in faith, love, and endurance in our spiritual battles.
