The Month of March is dedicated to St. Joseph, the just man chosen by God to be the guardian of the Holy Family. In this Day 4 reflection, we contemplate St. Joseph as the model of the life of faith.

Scripture calls St. Joseph “a just man”, and Sacred Tradition reminds us that “the just man lives by faith.” Though he did not fully comprehend the mysteries entrusted to him — the Incarnation, the virginal motherhood of Mary, and the mission of the Redeemer — St. Joseph submitted his intellect to God and obeyed with unwavering trust.

In this meditation we reflect on three important aspects of the life of faith:

• Faith in the mind — believing the mysteries revealed by God
• Faith in the heart — loving what we believe
• Faith in our actions — allowing faith to guide every moment of life

St. Joseph teaches us that true faith is not merely intellectual belief, but a living principle guiding our thoughts, decisions, and daily conduct.

During this Month of St. Joseph, ask the foster father of Jesus to obtain for you a strong, living, and enlightened faith.

“The just man lives by faith.” – Romans 1:17

May St. Joseph speak to our hearts and lead us closer to Christ.
