On February 2nd, Holy Mother Church celebrates the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas — forty days after the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

In this profound homily, we meditate on the fulfillment of the Mosaic Law, the humility of Our Lady, and the encounter between Christ and Simeon, who recognized the Savior not by outward signs, but by the interior illumination of the Holy Ghost.

This sermon draws us deeply into the mystery of faith as a supernatural virtue, reminding us that Christ can only be truly known, recognized, and embraced through divine grace. Knowledge without grace leads to blindness; love without truth becomes illusion. Simeon shows us the authentic path of the soul: awaiting, recognizing, and finally embracing Christ.

The homily also highlights the role of Our Lady, who carried Christ into the Temple and offered Him to the Father — teaching us how to know and love her Son with purity, fidelity, and obedience.
