Feeling discouraged, exhausted, or tired of praying about the same struggle? This Catholic homily invites us to trust Jesus Christ, surrender our need for control, and begin again with him.

Whether you are struggling with family relationships, recurring sins, unanswered prayers, or spiritual discouragement, Christ calls you to follow him. Faith means learning to say, “Lord, I don’t understand, but I trust you,” even when results are difficult to see.

Through reflections on obedience, humility, repentance, and Christian mission, this homily reminds us that God calls ordinary, imperfect people. Recognizing our weakness opens our hearts to his healing—and our daily faithfulness can help someone else encounter Christ.

Consider today:
• Where am I relying only on myself?
• What needs to change in my own heart?
• Who could encounter Christ through my kindness, prayer, or faithfulness?

Bring your discouragement to Jesus. Pray again. Return to him again. Ask for the courage to trust his word and follow where he leads.
