“The present feast is for us the beginning of feasts.”

This profound sermon reflects on the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary as the doorway from the old Law into the grace and truth revealed in Jesus Christ. Mary’s birth announces the renewal of the human race and prepares the world for the greatest mystery of all: the Word becoming flesh.

The meditation explores Mary as the pure temple prepared for God, the New Eve through whom salvation begins, and the daughter of Sts. Joachim and Anna, whose perseverance in prayer was rewarded with the birth of the Mother of God.
