Ireland was once known as the 'Land of Saints and Scholars', regarded as one of the most Catholic countries in the world. But over the past number of decades, the Catholic faith has declined sharply across the Emerald Isle, fueled in part by the clerical scandals.
In 2023, EWTN's Colm Flynn travelled to Ireland and asked the question, "Is Ireland still Catholic?" He examined the various reasons for the decline of the faith in Ireland and the challenges that the church faces there today. Well three years later, viewers have been emailing and messaging, pointing to other signs of hope for the "quiet revival" of the faith in Ireland.
Colm Flynn returned to Ireland and travelled across the country, meeting young people, talking to bishops, and asking the question, "Are there signs of hope for Ireland's Catholics?"
