The U.K. has blocked a bill that would have allowed assisted suicide for mentally competent adults with less than six months left to live. After passing the House of Commons in 2024, the bill faced prolonged debate in the House of Lords, where it stalled and ultimately failed last week. However, advocates say they will reintroduce the bill. Meanwhile, pro-life voices say this is a win for the U.K. and the rest of Europe. Alex Schadenberg, executive director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, joins us to discuss whether the proposal will eventually pass or is losing momentum. He also shares his biggest takeaway from the vote in the U.K., as well as the message to pro-lifers and those opposing assisted suicide.
