Welcome to the inaugural livestream of our new series: "Chants of the Mass", a sacred space dedicated to the timeless beauty of Gregorian chant in the context of the Holy Mass.

This stream features three of the most beloved Gregorian Mass settings of the Roman Catholic tradition:

• Missa De Angelis (Mass VIII) – Often used on solemn feasts, known for its melodic richness and familiarity among the faithful.
• Missa Cum Iubilo (Mass IX) – Traditionally sung on Marian feasts, filled with joy and reverence.
• Missa Orbis Factor (Mass XI) – The standard Sunday Mass, noble and contemplative in tone.

Gregorian chant developed in the early centuries of the Church as a form of sung prayer, shaping the liturgy of Western Christianity for over a millennium. Each of these Masses includes the Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus and Agnus Dei, forming the heart of the Ordinarium Missae, the fixed parts of the Catholic Mass.
