“Purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new paste.” (1 Corinthians 5:7)

This powerful Easter sermon reflects on the true meaning of the Resurrection—not just as an event in history, but as a transformation meant to take place within every soul.

After 40 days of Lent, we must ask ourselves:
Have we truly changed?
Have we drawn closer to Christ?
Or do we still cling to the “old man” of sin?

St. Paul calls us to radical renewal—to cast off sin and become a new creation in Jesus Christ. The Resurrection is not only proof of Christ’s victory over death, but also a call for us to rise spiritually, to live in grace, and to seek holiness on God’s terms—not our own.

Through the example of St. Paul’s own dramatic conversion, we are reminded that God’s grace can transform even the hardest of hearts—if only we allow it.

Easter is the feast of feasts, the solemnity of solemnities. Let us live it not just outwardly, but inwardly—by becoming saints.
