Dominic Auricchio was a typical 13-year-old, an altar boy, a hockey player, a teasing brother. But he had felt a calling to the priesthood since age four. Then, in December 2022, he was diagnosed with a dangerous brain mass. Seizures. High-risk surgery. In the backseat of the family car, he prayed quietly: "I'm just too young to die."
In May 2023, Dominic woke to a vision, a woman in blue who assured him, "not to worry, that I was going to be okay." A month later, medical scans showed the tumor had unexpectedly shrunk to a small blip. No surgery. No explanation. Just grace.
Despite ongoing health challenges, Dominic continues to serve—volunteering at a soup kitchen, mentoring a child with autism, and planning to serve in the Marines before pursuing the priesthood. His story is not about a cure. It is about a calling. The vision did not remove every difficulty. But it gave him the courage to face them.
Dominic's journey is a testament to enduring faith, Marian devotion, and the vocations that emerge from ordinary lives touched by the extraordinary. The Blessed Mother appeared. The tumor almost vanished. And a 13-year-old boy continues to say yes, to God, to service, and to a future he once thought was gone. The story is not over. It is just beginning.
