🔥 THE STORY OF ST. JULIANA
St. Juliana of Nicomedia was imprisoned for refusing to marry a pagan official and for remaining faithful to Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith.
While alone in her prison cell, a mysterious figure appeared and spoke to her.
It promised freedom.
It urged her to offer sacrifice to the Roman gods.
It claimed that doing so would save her life.
At first it appeared as a heavenly messenger.
But Juliana recognized the deception.
Calling on the name of Christ, she exposed the spirit for what it truly was—a demon disguised as an angel.
According to Catholic tradition, the saint even bound the demon and forced it to reveal its lies before the crowd.
This incredible story of discernment, spiritual warfare, and courage reminds us that not every spiritual experience comes from God.
✝️ CATHOLIC TEACHING
Sacred Scripture warns believers:
“Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.”
— 2 Corinthians 11:14
Stories like this from the lives of the Catholic saints remind us that the spiritual life requires vigilance, prayer, and trust in Christ.
