Discover the inspiring story of Saint Lupus the Martyr, commemorated on October 26th, who lived during the late 3rd and early 4th centuries. Saint Lupus was the faithful servant of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica, and through his faith and devotion, he became a worker of miracles and a destroyer of pagan idols.

After witnessing the martyrdom of Saint Demetrius, Lupus soaked his garments in his master’s holy blood and took his ring as a relic. Through these sacred items — and in the name of Christ — Saint Lupus performed many miracles in Thessalonica.

Persecuted for his faith under Emperor Maximian Galerius, Lupus faced his tormentors with courage and gave his life for Christ, being beheaded by the sword.
