On August 24, the Church commemorates the Holy Martyr of Claudiopolis, who lived in Bithynia during the reign of Emperor Diocletian (284–305 AD). Arrested for his unwavering faith in Christ, he endured imprisonment, brutal beatings, and torture under Governor Urban. Refusing to deny his Savior, he was dragged outside the city for execution. After making the sign of the Cross, the saint peacefully gave up his soul to God on the way to his martyrdom. His courage remains a powerful witness of steadfast faith in the face of persecution.
