After a Lifetime of Voting for the Lesser Evil...is the World Less Evil?

The morning after the midterms, the Republicans took a shellacking, with some races going further for the Democrats than almost anyone expected. Rob shares his thoughts while they're fresh.

Growing up a cradle Catholic, Rob heard it from every pulpit: you have to vote for the lesser evil. But after a lifetime of doing exactly that, is the world actually less evil, or have we just gotten slower evil? He points to the Requetés of Spain, who didn't save their nation by voting for the lesser evil but by rejecting evil altogether and being willing to shed their blood for it.

Yes, there may be more persecution and more suffering ahead. But we won't save our nation by voting for candidates who are slightly less pro-abortion. We'll only save it by being virtuous and letting only the virtuous lead us, even if that means abstaining.
