Marvel Jesus? What happened to The Chosen?

"The Chosen has turned the Gospel into a Marvel movie." Anthony's post blew up this week over a new clip of warrior angels armed with bows. Fans say it's just a riff on Matthew 26:53, where Our Lord says He could call down twelve legions of angels. Critics say it's one more invented scene in a show that has Jesus rehearsing the Sermon on the Mount and writing in characters who aren't in Scripture.

Tonight Rob and Anthony take it head on. Season 6 hits Prime Video on November 15, it's the first season to show angels and demons, and the crucifixion finale goes to theaters in March 2027 through Amazon MGM Studios. So what happened to the show so many Christians embraced? Where is the line between creative license and rewriting the Gospel? Why does Hollywood keep turning Christ into a superhero? And what does the Church's tradition of sacred art, from the icons to The Passion of the Christ, teach us about how the life of Our Lord should be portrayed?
