As part of the Jubilee of Hope, pilgrims from Santiago de Compostela—one of the world’s most renowned pilgrimage sites—traveled to Rome, becoming pilgrims themselves to the heart of the Church. The group of about 50 passed through the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica and celebrated Mass in the Basilica’s Chapel of the Choir, a sacred space usually reserved for special liturgies. Church leaders, including Archbishop Francisco José Prieto Fernández and Bishop Fernando García Cadiñanos, reflected on the spiritual significance of the pilgrimage, emphasizing communion with the Church and the Pope. Pilgrims shared personal stories of hope, hardship, and renewal, describing the experience as one of peace and spiritual transformation. EWTN Vatican correspondent Bénédicte Cedergren reports.
