On the Thursday after Ash Wednesday, the Gospel presents us with a striking image: a Roman centurion — a man of rank, authority, and command — humbling himself before Christ.

This powerful Lenten reflection explores a forgotten truth: true greatness requires humility before God and charity toward those under your authority.

If Christ had only gathered the poor and uneducated, the world might have dismissed Him. But here stands a Roman officer — a captain of soldiers — recognizing that this humble Jesus is Master of Heaven and Earth.
