Welcome! Join The CatholicTV Network for the full Daily Catholic Mass celebration on this Tuesday of Holy Week. As we draw closer to the Paschal Triduum, we gather to reflect on the depth of Christ's love and the reality of our human weakness.
In today’s stirring Homily, the celebrant explores the central role of Judas in the Gospel narrative, reminding us that even the darkest betrayal began with a genuine vocation and the free will to choose. He cautions us that in an age of anger, disappointment, and hopelessness, any one of us can be tempted to "give up the walk with Jesus". We are encouraged to see that our faith is not self-sustaining but must be nurtured every single day through prayer and a deep reliance on the goodness and grace of God. This Mass is a powerful invitation to recommit ourselves to the Lord, trusting that He who called us from the womb will be our strength through the darkness of night.
The Scriptures highlight the mission of the Servant and the testing of the disciples:
-The First Reading (Isaiah 49:1-6): The Prophet Isaiah speaks of the Lord's Servant, called from birth and made into a "sharp-edged sword" and a "polished arrow". The Lord declares that it is too little for the Servant only to restore Israel; rather, He will be a "light to the nations" so that God's salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.
-The Responsorial Psalm (Ps 71): A song of trust in God's justice: "I will sing of your salvation".
-The Holy Gospel (John 13:21-33, 36-38): During the Last Supper, Jesus is deeply troubled and announces that one of the twelve will betray Him. He identifies Judas by handing him a morsel, after which Judas leaves into the night. Jesus then speaks of His glorification and tells His "children" that He will be with them only a little while longer. When Peter boldly claims he will lay down his life for Jesus, our Lord predicts that Peter will instead deny Him three times before the cock crows.
May we always "ponder what is worthy" and love the Lord in all sincerity as we are sanctified through these sacred mysteries.

Theological & Liturgical Context
-Season: Tuesday of Holy Week.
-Gospel Focus: The Glorification of the Son of Man; Jesus reveals that His upcoming Passion—marked by betrayal and abandonment—is the very moment in which God is most perfectly glorified, as it demonstrates a love that reaches even those who reject it.
-Homily Key Message: We are reminded of the "great importance of allowing our God to be primary"; by taking time each day to build our faith, we protect ourselves from the "evil one" who seeks to use our human failures to lead us away from the light of Christ.
