On Day 14 of the U.S. government shutdown, there is still no resolution in sight. Senate Republicans attempted for the eighth time to pass a clean continuing resolution (C.R.) to fund the government through the end of November — but Democrats voted it down. At the heart of the standoff are Democratic demands to restore over $1 trillion in health care cuts and to permanently extend Obamacare subsidies set to expire at the end of the year. Some are calling on President Trump to step in and help negotiate a deal. Meanwhile, nearly 24 million Americans could face doubled premiums without the extension — though conservatives warn the subsidies could cost $350 billion over the next decade. Capitol Hill Correspondent Erik Rosales reports.
