Christ is risen — and yet the apostles were afraid.

In this powerful Easter Tuesday meditation, we reflect on the words of Scripture: “Peace be to you.” Even in the presence of the Risen Lord, the apostles struggled with fear, doubt, and uncertainty — just like us.

Through the example of a holy king who found God in total destitution, this sermon reminds us that loss, suffering, and fear are not signs of abandonment—but invitations to deeper union with God.

During the Octave of Easter, we are given the same grace of Easter Sunday for eight days. This is a sacred time to persevere in prayer, remain with Christ in the “upper room,” and allow His light to overcome every darkness in our souls.

“Never in history has a dark room remained dark when exposed to light.”

Stay with Christ. Persevere. And in time, fear will turn into wonder and joy.
