The Holy Prophet Elisha is commemorated on June 14 by the Orthodox Church and is remembered as one of the greatest prophets of the Old Testament. Called by God through the Holy Prophet Elijah, Elisha received a double portion of his master's spirit and carried out a prophetic ministry that lasted more than sixty-five years.
