A True Account of Hell and the Particular Judgment
In 1847 London, a wealthy widow experienced a terrifying encounter—one later recorded by Bishop Mgr. de Ségur and preserved within Catholic tradition. This account points directly to the reality of hell, the particular judgment, and the eternal consequences of mortal sin.
What the Church Teaches About Hell
The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that hell is real and eternal:
“Immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell…” (CCC 1035)
Our eternal destiny is determined at the moment of death—based on whether we die in God’s grace or in mortal sin.
A Call to Repentance and Mercy
This story is not meant to cause despair—but conversion.
Through confession, repentance, and a return to God, every soul can receive mercy. The saints consistently remind us to examine our conscience, avoid grave sin, and remain in a state of grace.
Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary is a powerful help in remaining faithful to the end.
