Glory be to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!

In this inspiring reflection, we begin with one of the most beloved Gospel accounts—Peter walking on the water (Matthew 14:22–33). Peter stepped out in faith, but when fear overtook him, he began to sink. Yet Christ was there to reach out His hand and save him.

From there, we explore the remarkable true story of Harrison Okene, a Nigerian cook who survived three days trapped inside an air pocket of a sunken ship beneath the Atlantic Ocean. As his vessel capsized in 2013, Harrison found himself alone in darkness, surrounded by death. Remembering God's promises, praying the Psalms, and placing his complete trust in Jesus Christ, he endured until rescuers miraculously found him.

This powerful testimony reminds us that while Christ may not always be physically visible, He never abandons those who trust in Him. Whether we are sinking like Peter or surrounded by darkness like Harrison, Our Lord is always present, strengthening those who call upon His Holy Name.
