A major announcement was made on the tenth anniversary of the release of Amoris Laetitia, a document issued by Pope Francis. The controversial document on marriage and family was published after two synods at the Vatican, which were dominated by debates over divorce. Pope Leo announced that he has called the presidents of the world’s bishops’ conferences to Rome in October to take part in a process of discernment on how to “proclaim the Gospel to families today in light of Amoris Laetitia.”
