“What about my soul? Doesn't my soul matter?”

At just 19 years old, he found himself completely ostracised from his Catholic community.

He says he had apologised publicly for what he had done, tried to make amends, and was going every evening to pray the Rosary with his best friend's family.

Then his friend told him he couldn't come anymore. A priest had reportedly warned the family that associating with him was a “scandal”.

His response is heartbreaking:

“What more can I do to atone for my mistake?... What about my soul?”

A powerful testimony about what can happen when discipline loses sight of mercy, repentance and the salvation of the person standing in front of us.
