Due to the ongoing conflict in the region, a Holy Week tradition in Jerusalem has been canceled. Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, announced that the traditional Palm Sunday procession will not take place this year. Instead, there will be a moment of prayer for the city at a location yet to be determined. The Chrism Mass on Holy Thursday will also be postponed.
