Also known as, "Un-Protestant Bible #5: Prayers to Abraham (Luke 16)"
Protestant apologist Patrick O'Brien claims prayer to saints is necromancy and never appears in Scripture. But Jesus Himself teaches petitionary prayer to saints (or asking them to intercede) in Luke 16:19-31! In the account of the Rich Man and Lazarus, the rich man repeatedly prays to Abraham—not God—asking for supernatural help. Abraham responds, debates, and refuses the requests, yet Jesus never condemns this practice. If praying to saints were forbidden, Abraham would have said "ask God instead," just as angels refuse worship in Revelation. This powerful biblical proof confounds Protestant objections and reveals ancient Catholic truth.
