Pope Leo XIV turned his attention to a well-known parable from the Gospel according to Matthew during his Sunday Angelus, pointing the faithful to a hopeful mystery of the Christian faith: that God can transform even evil into redemption. Reflecting on the words, “The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” first spoken in the Psalms and repeated by Christ to His disciples, the Holy Father explained that Jesus is the Son rejected by the very people who should have welcomed Him.
