Pope Leo XIV celebrated his first Easter Vigil at St. Peter’s Basilica tonight. The basilica was filled to capacity for the beautiful liturgy—often called the mother of all liturgies—which lasted about three hours. Ten catechumens from different countries were welcomed into the Catholic Church, receiving the sacraments of initiation for the first time.
