Blessed Gregory Celli of Verucchio is one of the hidden treasures of Catholic history. Raised by a holy mother after the death of his father, Gregory dedicated his entire life to God from a young age. Entering the Hermits of St. Augustine at only 15 years old, he became known for holiness, austerity, and converting sinners back to the true Faith.

Yet despite his virtue, envy and resentment led to Gregory being expelled from the very convent his mother had founded and endowed. Poor and abandoned, he was received with charity by the Franciscans, where he persevered in humility and holiness until his death at the extraordinary age of 118.
