Is the resurrection of Jesus real? What evidence is there that Jesus rose from the dead? Why do Christians believe in the resurrection?
'Did Jesus really rise from the dead?' is one of the most important questions in Christianity and in this video, Sr Carino and Sr Hyacinthe explore the historical, biblical, and spiritual evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Did Jesus rise again? The short answer is yes, but the bigger question is why it matters.

Whilst no one directly witnessed the exact moment Jesus rose from the tomb, many encountered Him alive afterward. These witnesses, including the apostles, boldly proclaimed the resurrection even in the face of persecution and death. Their testimony forms the foundation of the Christian faith.
The Gospel accounts present themselves as early eyewitness-based records written within a generation of the events they describe. Rather than being myth or legend, the resurrection is presented as a real historical event.
Importantly, belief in the resurrection is not always easy. Even Jesus’ own disciples struggled to accept it at first. Figures like Thomas the Apostle remind us that doubt can be part of the journey toward faith.
The resurrection changes everything. Without it, the death of Jesus would be a tragic end. With it, it becomes the source of hope, forgiveness, and new life.
About the Resurrection
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the central event of Christianity. It refers to Jesus rising from the dead on the third day after His crucifixion, as recorded in the New Testament Gospels. Celebrated on Easter Sunday, the resurrection is the foundation of Christian faith, hope, and salvation. According to the Bible, His tomb was found empty and He appeared alive to His disciples and many others over a period of time.
About Easter
Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Celebrated on Easter Sunday, it marks his victory over death and is the foundation of Christian faith, hope and salvation.
Jesus Christ was crucified on Good Friday and buried in a tomb and on the third day, He rose again, an event known as the resurrection. This was a real historical event that changed the course of human history and revealed God’s power over sin and death.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ confirms His identity as the Son of God and gives meaning to His death on the cross. Without Easter, the crucifixion would be a tragedy, but with the resurrection, it becomes the source of salvation and new life.
