On Day 13 of the government shutdown, the Office of Management and Budget, led by Russ Vought, announced the first wave of layoffs across multiple federal agencies — impacting more than 4,000 employees, according to new court filings. Agencies affected include the Treasury Department, Department of Education, Health and Human Services, as well as HUD, DHS, EPA, and the Department of Energy. Meanwhile, Democrats are sounding off.
