He also unpacks the Eucharist through John 6, where the original Greek word for "eat," "trogo," literally means to gnaw or chew, and explains why Jesus using an ancient idiom for assault to describe eating his flesh only makes sense if he meant the real presence literally.
Fr. Alar closes by sharing evangelical pastor Francis Chan's public realization that for the Church's first thousand-plus years, the center of Christian worship was an altar, not a pulpit or a stage.
