Thousands gathered in Rome for the Jubilee of the armed forces, police, and security personnel, marking the second major event of the Holy Year. The celebration honored their role in bringing hope and safeguarding peace. Among the speakers, Lieutenant Colonel Ozren Lukenda of the Croatian Navy reflected on the noble mission of peacekeeping operations. Due to ongoing health struggles, Pope Francis entrusted Archbishop Diego Ravelli with delivering part of his homily, in which he praised the vigilance of those who protect the defenseless. The Pope urged them to remain steadfast in their mission: to promote, save, and defend life. Vatican Correspondent Bénédicte Cedergren reports.
