For the first time in 700 years, three fragments of an ancient manuscript of the Gospel of Mark are together again. For the first time in seven centuries, the three scattered fragments of a 6th-century manuscript have been reunited in Aquileia, Italy, through a special exhibition. For generations, the manuscript was venerated as if it were the very Gospel written in Saint Mark's own hand. Such was the devotion it inspired that, beginning in the 12th century, it was gradually divided into separate fragments, each becoming a treasured relic in its own right. EWTN News Correspondent Brian Schumacher reports.
