The Church exists to glorify God and lead souls to Him. Every abbey exists not for its own sake, but to serve and adorn the life of His Church by offering Him worthy worship and helping draw souls more deeply into communion with Him.
At St. Michael’s Abbey, the Norbertine Canons Regular seek to fulfill this charge through a life given first to God: in the solemn celebration of the Sacred Liturgy, the daily prayer of the Divine Office, the joy of common life, and apostolic service.
As the abbatial election approaches, the abbey enters a sacred period of prayer, beseeching the Lord to guide the confreres in peace, humility, and docility to His holy will.
May our Novena to Our Lady, beginning on June 10, on the Abbot’s Circle, bestow many graces upon the abbey during these days.
