In July 1954, a crippled Ozark farmer named Buck Nelson waved a flashlight at three flying discs over his Missouri ranch. They fired a ray at him, knocked him down, and cured fifteen years of back pain. What followed was a round trip to Mars, the Moon, and Venus, a 200-year-old space pilot, a 385-pound handshaking dog, twelve laws of God, and a saucer convention every June on an eighty-acre farm with no phone line. Jimmy Akin and Dom Bettinelli examine one of the strangest of the 1950s UFO contactees from the twin perspectives of faith and reason — and there's a twist late in the story that changes everything.
