Accepting the Josef Pieper Prize

Friends, when I was a seminarian and university student many years ago, Josef Pieper was an important guide and inspiration.
So receiving the Josef Pieper Prize in July—awarded for exemplary work expressing “the Christian view of humanity”—was one of the great honors of my lifetime.
